As part of her work at the Williamson St Art Center, Sharon had a successful career as a community artist. She worked in schools, neighborhood centers, libraries and many other community spaces. She worked mostly as a community muralist, but also did a number of large-scale mosaic projects and conducted fabric figure and found art figure workshops with thousands of participants. She also served as an Arts Administrator and Arts Ambassador.
