2020 was a strange year for all of us, yet I feel I benefited from the solitude the COVID lock down provided. I spent my time during the summer making mosaics in the rear garden – of the planets (including Pluto) and of Night and Day. Outdoor mosaic work in Wisconsin does not hold up as well as one could wish – given the freeze/thaw cycle that is absent, in say, Mexico. I don’t regret having done this work, and am learning from the (minimal?) deterioration.
