These murals are part of the series of murals at Centro Hispano of Dane County in Madison, WI. A panel of Latino community members chose heroes from the Hispanic world whose portraits inspire Latino youth. They were painted by Latino youth and community members. American Girl Fund for Children and the Wisconsin Arts Board funded the murals.
Centro Hispano dedicated the series of murals painted there with a fandango of dance and song featuring Sones de Mexico from Chicago. Community members played instruments and danced while others toured the building viewing the murals.
